DriverDetective Takes the Case

DriverDetective takes a fresh new perspective into driver update software. The typical approach driver update software programs take is to open up to the home menu, scan your computer’s driver and give the results. DriverDetective does things a bit differently. When you use it, it starts with scanning your computer right away, gives you the result and then takes you to its home menu. A bit atypical when you think about driver update software, but then again, what would you expect from a name that conjures up images of Noir?

That is not to say that driver detective isn’t to be taken seriously. It is very good at what it does like, well, a TV detective. It has the typical driver update software features such as scanning and driver updates. What’s not typical is that it offers options to scan for Universal, OEM and Motherboard matches. These options perform scans that prioritize universal, OEM and motherboard drivers as you see fit. This is helpful when you already know what you want to do and you don’t have time to go through the typical driver scan. The intelligent scans cut through the unnecessary steps and dives right in to the problem.

While the reverse order of doing its tasks might take some time to like, the major knock on DriverDetective is that it offers only email as the only viable way to contact their help and support service for the program. This would be troublesome when you think about the fact that you need your computer to access the help you need to fix the same computer.

DriverDetective is a fresh new take on driver update software. However, it does need to either make their interface with the user easier or switch to more familiar modes of doing its job if it wants to offer better ease of use. Also, it should take into consideration additional ways to offer their costumers the support they need when they need it.
